About the Hotel

2901 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, United States of America, 33140

Luxurious Oceanfront Accommodations

Rooms at The Miami Beach Edition showcase marble bathrooms with enclosed rainforest showers, 48-inch flat-screen HDTVs, and custom imported linens. Resort Recreation Facilities

The property features a state-of-the-art fitness center, nine treatment rooms at the spa, and two distinct pools - the restored landmark Sundial pool and a rectangular pool with luxury cabanas equipped with TVs and mini-refrigerators. The Basement venue combines a four-lane bowling alley with a 2000-square-foot ice skating rink.

I had a mixed experience at The Miami Beach Edition. The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcomed, but the facilities felt a bit worn down, especially for the price. The food was hit or miss as well. Overall, while the vibe was nice, I expected more for what I paid.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and offered stunning views, but the amenities were lacking. I was surprised to find no coffee machine and limited toiletries. The bathroom could use better design too.
Service
7.0
The service was hit or miss. Some staff were excellent, like Denisa at the garden restaurant, while others seemed irritated. I had a few issues with Guest Services that slowed things down.
Location
7.0
The hotel is in a decent spot; it's walkable to Lincoln Road and the beach, although the surrounding area felt a bit run-down. It's not right on South Beach but close enough for convenience.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were a mixed bag. The food I had at the garden restaurant was great, but overall, it seemed like some dishes fell short. Breakfast could use more variety.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were nice but small and overcrowded at peak times. The gym was well-equipped, but I feel like they could offer more in terms of poolside service and coverage.

I had a mix of experiences at The Miami Beach Edition. The location is beautiful and the staff were friendly, but the pool area was overcrowded and the service left much to be desired. I really appreciated the concierge's efforts and my anniversary celebration was nice, but overall, the hotel didn't fully meet my expectations, especially considering the price.

The room was comfortable and clean, perfect for a short stay, though it felt a bit cramped for two people.
Service

While some staff members were attentive and friendly, room service and poolside service were frustratingly slow. I had to remind staff multiple times for my orders.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is great, offering a lovely beach setup and serene atmosphere away from the South Beach chaos, making it a perfect retreat.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were decent, but I found the breakfast buffet limited to weekends, which is unusual for a luxury hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area was beautiful but way too crowded. I often struggled to find seating and noticed others reserving chairs without using them.

The Miami Beach Edition is visually stunning with a gorgeous pool area and serene spa, though my check-in experience was notably disappointing. While the dining options were good and the room service breakfast hit the spot, the service did not meet my expectations for a luxury hotel. All in all, it's a beautiful hotel but fell short on personal touches that I look for in a luxury stay.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are immaculate, showcasing a blend of modern and elegant design. yet I missed some basic amenities like a coffee station.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly and accommodating, the check-in process left much to be desired, as my loyalty status wasn't recognized as I expected.
Location
7.0
The location is nice, not too far from the lively South Beach scene, but it felt a bit secluded and less vibrant than I had hoped.
Dining
9.0
Dining was a highlight, especially breakfast at the Marketplace and dinner at the Matador Room. both were absolutely delicious.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were fantastic, particularly the spa and pool area, though it would have been nice if the pool bar stayed open later.

I had a nice stay at The Miami Beach Edition, appreciating the excellent service from staff like Sam Wamble and Maria Diaz, but faced some hiccups with my accommodations. The beachfront location was perfect for blissful relaxation, yet I encountered issues with housekeeping during my stay. Ultimately, the experience was enjoyable overall, despite a few shortcomings.

Rooms
8.0
The room was sleek and inviting, though I experienced issues with housekeeping, such as used cups not being replaced and missed turndown service. Additionally, the bathroom could use better lighting for makeup application.
Service
7.0
Service was generally impressive, especially from staff members like Sam and Maria who were attentive and friendly. However, my elite status wasn't recognized as expected upon check-in, which felt disappointing.
Location
9.0
The hotel's beachfront location is ideal for those wanting to escape the chaos of South Beach while still being close enough to enjoy its offerings. The pool area is beautiful and well-maintained.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were enjoyable, and room service was prompt with well-presented meals. However, I found the prices a bit steep, especially for snacks and drinks outside the room.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities, including the pool and beach service, were generally excellent, but the ice skating rink and bowling alley felt underutilized during my visit. Overall, the amenities provided a good mix of leisure options.

I enjoyed the comfort of my room, but there were a few minor issues like a lack of coffee-making facilities and a requested vanity mirror that never arrived.
Service
8.0
The staff, particularly at the pool and spa, were attentive and friendly. However, my experience with some concierge services was less than optimal, as I faced delays in requests.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, right on Middle Beach, offering a nice balance between proximity to attractions and a serene environment away from crowded areas.
Dining
7.0
Dining at Matador Bar was enjoyable, but I did experience slow service during my last visit. Overall, the options were good, but I wished for quicker service.
